A Day With Dr. Don

Chris Coffman, Andrew Foote, and I got the chance to drown ourselves in a full day of biblical teaching this past December at Mars Hill Church in Seattle. Renowned theologian DA Carson taught the following 5 sessions that Saturday, which have graciously been offered up as vodcasts at TheResurgence, Mars Hill’s online missional theology cooperative. We 21st century, first-world Christians are spoiled rotten by the vast amount of teaching and information that is available at our fingertips. But Christ’s words in Luke 12:48 are a sobering reminder of the responsibilities that come...

Pushing Forward

I’ll take this because it’s so good. In his blog Christ is Deeper Still, Ray Ortland, lead pastor of Immanuel Church in Nashville,  took some time out to list the things he’s thankful for and concerned about for 2009. It’s amazing to see the bigger picture of what God is doing in and through the church. Going into 2009 Going into this new year of grace 2009, I am thankful for four things and concerned about four things. Thankful: 1. The gospel is being rediscovered and rejoiced over and ransacked in a fresh way, as evidenced by Together for the Gospel, The Gospel...
